It was apparent that she was specifically seeking a candidate who could speak Chinese. This led me to question my inclusion on the interview list—was it merely for the sake of numbers? Nearly a month passed without any feedback, and I later discovered that a Chinese-speaking candidate had been selected for the position. It seems that internal politics are at play here as well.
