The interview process started with a generic phone interview asking about your strengths and what you would do in different situations. They want to make sure that you understand the requirements of the job and how long the hours can be. If you pass the phone interview they fly you out to a location for 2-3 days where you give a group presentation to a couple recruiters and other interviewees. The presentation is no pressure just make sure to be very technical and prepare beforehand. The next day you spend visiting on site jobs to see what it really takes to be a Field Engineer. And finally you have a one-on-one "interview" (mine had my recruiter and a local manager but most were just one-on-one) late at night, basically to discuss if you still want the job and where you want to be located and in which segment. Don't be intimidated if they keep asking you if you can handle it, be honest and let them know what your fears of taking the job are. They understand that you are going to have some concerns because they were once in your position! The 2-3 days that you are there have late nights and early mornings so be prepared to get little sleep! I got around 6 hours total the two nights I was there.
