Smith Bits is a Schlumberger company , so the hiring process is the as in schlumberger :
phase 1 : Test 1 ( physics , math , english , mechanics...) paper test
phase 2 : assessment day within schlumberger in cherarga office (Algiers, Algeria).
Candidate Presentation:
All new comers have to introduce themselves. You are required in the morning to make a Five (05) minutes presentation in English covering the following points:
· Mandatory
1. Present yourself
2. Describe your three major strengths and three major weaknesses
3. Take a look at your educational life to date. Specifically what inspired you and why did it inspire you?
4. One slide on your technical final year project
5. What do you expect from the initial years of your professional life and what “price” are you prepared to pay? Name the one thing you are not willing to sacrifice.
6. One optional point from below

a) Describe the most ideal job you may wish and how does an ideal working day look like?
b) What attracts you the most and the least to the Schlumberger positions you have in mind?
c) Describe your most difficult personal decision to date. What made it difficult and how has it affected you?

3 Mins Interview to "Vibe Check" and test your english, then HR Interview, then User Interview. In my opinion, it's better to be as natural as possible, but prepare your technical knowledge and professional attitude.
Muito dificil porque são várias fases, mas é um processo muito completo. Passamos por entrevista em inglês, entrevista com os gerentes de cada área e também fizemos prova prática, onde montamos ferramentas.
I was contacted by an external recruiter. The process consisted of multiple rounds. First a general phone interview with the external recruiter followed by a round of tests online via a video call together with other candidates. This online day covered topics such as maths, phyiscs, logics and a presentation about yourself. The last round was a final interview. The process took multiple months.
