Typical Israeli startup, 4+ interviews all asking the same generic and blanketed questions. Always felt like each interviewer comprehended about half of what I stated.
First met with the hiring manager, then a technical screening, followed by an HR interview and an interview with the VP of product. I believe the only remaining interview was with the CEO, but no one really knew. The first half of each interview was a reiteration of my resume followed by the common customer service "tell me a time..."
3/4 of the technical screening was very simple (linux commands, wireshark, networking). However, the final piece involved scenario based questions that were missing so much context that once I asked for additional context the question either invalidated itself or lead to an answer with multiple possibilities.
The lack of forethought and preparation on their end was a red flag. With that said, everyone was very nice and they did keep the process streamlined, meaning there was no waiting a week(s) to hear back prior to scheduling the next interview.
