5 rounds, 2.5hr in total. This is really a model validation role which is not building models. You'll meet and talk with everyone in the team. The 1st and last are technical based and the other rounds in the middle are background and behavior based.
1st round, you'll need to explain and improve the r script. Then you'll be given an article about credit rating and explain the process
2nd - 4th round: repeated background related questions, introducing the company and the function of this role
5th round: irrelevant and hard tech questions. The coding test is easy though.
The process is rather lengthy and redundant, but the people are really nice
Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 3 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en S&P Global (Denver, CO) en dic 2015
Entrevista
The first step was a vanilla phone screen. After than I was invited to the office for an in person interview. The office reminded me of offices from a decade ago. The interviewer was not versed in Statistics at all, and asked strange questions. There were 4 interviews all together and most of them were in-inspiring. One of the interviews was a "technical" interview with someone in their NY office. He googled obscure questions (literally during interview) that he didn't have context for, and were ancillary.
It was a poor match. The interviewer seemed inexperienced and didn't even follow up after the on-site.
