Really disappointed with interview process here. I was scheduled for an interview and met virtually with 3 members of the team. The interview seemed to go well, and they asked for writing samples etc. of my work, as well as references to call. They called both of my references and I also received a follow-up call confirming I was still interested, noting that they would let me know early the next week. I was really excited to hear back. I was then essentially ghosted and received no response to my follow-up email (over a month after the interview) asking for confirmation that I was not chosen for the position. I understand organizations can get busy, but when you’ve taken a good chunk of my time (application, interview research, interview itself, compiling work samples, confirming references, etc.), as well as my references’ time, I think the bare minimum is an email communicating that I did not get the position. It seemed like a nice place to work but this unprofessional experience left a really bad taste in my mouth.
