      Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 3 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Runbeck Election Services (Phoenix, AZ) en oct 2019

      Entrevista

      Overall the process was fairly typical. I felt I aced the phone interviews and this position was perfect fit for me (even my recruiter said this position was meant for me and my skillset and experience). I was even contacted fairly quickly after taking the personality test to move on to the code review. They took about a week to provide me the personality test and then another week to send me the code review, even though they kept saying they needed to move quickly. I eventually notified my recruiter that I had other opportunities that I'll need to pursue. I was told that I had to take approx. 20% to 30% less money because the colleagues I would be working with don't make that much. I was also discouraged to work remotely and they wanted me to relocate to Arizona for the position; even though the position was posted as 100% remote. After about a couple weeks after my initial interviews I was contacted by the recruiter that they couldn't find any talent in Phoenix, so they would now work with me on the pay range (even though their offer was still 10% less than what I am currently making) and they would be "ok" with me working remotely. So, I proceeded with the rest of the interview. I received the coding test and was told that I could use whatever language I wanted and it wasn't necessarily if I did anything correctly or not (since we all know there's a thousand ways to develop something) and it was just so they could see my coding style. I completed the test the night before it was due, even though I was sick for a few days with the flu, and followed all the instructions I was given. I used a style that I was most familiar with so that I didn't waste any time while being sick. A couple days later I received an e-mail from my recruiter stating that "Unfortunately, my client has decided not to move forward with your application. They felt that your coding sample was not adequete for the position's primary duties." (exact quote). No other reason was provided or explanation as to why I wasn't able forward. I was obviously frustrated, as I felt/told that this position was nearly a perfect match and they were excited for me to move forward. This process was a waste of time for me, but ultimately I do wish the company luck on finding their right candidate.
