      Entrevista

I was excited for the possibility of working with this organization, but my feelings changed once I had the interview with the comms team. I wasn’t asked questions that would give them the chance to get to know me. No ‘why Rotary, tell me about yourself, etc.’ I didn’t get the impression they wanted to. Most of the questions were behavioral based. That’s fine, but solely asking those questions doesn’t paint a complete picture of the potential candidate. The two people who interviewed me also appeared very casual, one was even disheveled. I highly recommend an HR rep sit in on some interviews. They didn’t make the best impression and Rotary doesn’t seem to be truly inclusive or welcoming. I wasn’t even asked about diversity or international initiatives. How puzzling.

      Preguntas de entrevista [1]

      Pregunta 1

Describe strategic initiatives you have worked on with stakeholders outside of your field. Describe a time you have failed. Describe or explain your experience having to make modifications because of changed circumstances.

Thank you, we really appreciate your feedback. It is very important to our organization to bring in talented and passionate individuals who will help drive our mission forward. With a competitive group of candidates it can be a challenge to find the right person for the role. In order to ensure we are advancing the most qualified candidates through the interview process, we use objective behavioral interview questions that relate to the core functions of the role. In an effort to avoid bias, we are intentional about keeping our interview questions consistent and role-focused. As for our attire, the organization is flexible enough to have a business-casual dress code. We understand this may be a big change for those coming from a strictly business attire environment. Should you want to discuss further, we encourage you to reach out to us at GlobalPeopleandTalent@rotary.org
