      Bad experience. A company that is 7+ years old should really have some kind of a structure and process in place. Having a knowledgeable person who has basic understanding of HR, people and their experience would definitely help to create one. So called screening call was more of an interview with a 2h notice given. It felt like a tick-box exercise and during the interview it was kind of a confirmed. They are looking to fill roles within 2 weeks, therefore, it’s more about finding a body to fill the role than looking for someone with passion, commitment or experience. It also felt that who ever requires a new team member doesn’t really have the authority to decided who they hire for their department and it’s the decision of the person who deals with the recruitment so that felt a bit strange; who ever manages the team should have some say in who they hire for their team. They might be looking to hire someone to streamline their recruitment processes but basics should be already there and ideally with a respect and consideration towards candidates and their time. The job adverts should also be written clear and with an inclusive language. If the role has a direct report it should also be mentioned in the advert. The way advert was written felt rushed, too. With the AI being around, there is no excuse to have a badly written advert. In general, Interviews should not be rushed and candidate should not made to feel like a tick box exercise. And if compensation isn’t mentioned in the advert it should really be mentioned during the call. Everyone gets a new Mac (that was mentioned tho). Accountability and transparency aren’t their values and they are quite important for an organisation to be successful.
