I applied for an internship position (preclinical fMRI Data Processing) in Roche. What I really liked was having been able to follow the application process from the website since it gets updated once there is a progress. I applied in the beginning of June and in a few weeks, I was contacted via e-mail and we arranged a time slot for the online job interview, which took place in the beginning of July. So the whole process was quite fast and really professional.
The online interview was a group interview (2 scientists from Roche did the interview).

- Questions about my CV and previous work experience
- Questions about my Master's thesis since it was relevant to the position; which type of data processing did I do etc
- Questions related to the internship position; experience with MATLAB, programming language etc
- There were no cliche questions like "weakness/strength" etc.
Asked about own areas of interest, some basics in programming and working with version control tools. Then gave some insights into the broad span of use cases and analytics products they are working on.

Bewerbung bei Roche Diagnostics (Schweiz) AG Freundliches Gespräch mit zukünftigen Vorgesetzten. Leider kam bis heute keine Rückmeldung. Ärgerlich, besonders da Sie die gleiche Software des gesamten Roche Konzerns verwenden, und zumindest eine standardisierte Absage ein leichtes wäre...
