I cannot remember the initial process (I think I applied through Indeed) but I received a phone call telling me they would like me to come in for an interview. When I went for the interview I had a look around the shop floor before the womenswear manager came and took me to the manager's office. He asked me questions about myself, my career history (even though I had none, which he said was perfectly fine) how I would describe myself in one word, what I know about River Island as a company, a time where I worked as part of a team and a time where I helped someone/provided good service. It didn't last long at all, he took my passport to scan and that was the end. Others who worked there described having group interviews, or solo interviews where they had to choose an outfit that represented River Island or a particular event (i.e. night out) but I never had to do that.
