I just had one interview which turned out to be more of an interrogation. One of the director-level interviewees was abrupt, aggressive and unfriendly. I understand that they want to fully vet every candidate as if they were applying for a full-time position, but if you really want to see the “real person,” creating a friendly and relaxed interview experience will go a long way!! Asking me questions about how I would handle situations involving people behaving badly made it seem like it was a toxic work environment.
