First interview with the recruiter went well, followed by a one-hour Zoom with their "Chief of Staff", who was late and didn't even say half a "sorry" for it, appeared annoyed for no reason, and gave me different information on the role than the recruiter had. A few days later I received a standard, copy&paste email from the recruiter saying they "have decided not to progress further with your application". I thanked him and asked to get a little bit more feedback, so I can I better understand and potentially improve for the future. The answer was literally "unfortunately I didn't get any feedback myself from the Chief of Staff other than, we don't want to move forward". I used to be a recruiter for many years and such a reply is next-level unprofessional and incompetent.
