Had a screening call with HR, then a virtual interview with the hiring manager. The interviews seemed to go well until the end when the hiring manager mentioned there would be 5+ more interviews with many different stakeholders before a decision would be made. This was a huge red flag to me, especially since this was not a managerial or executive role. The HR person seemed nice and at least had the courtesy to call me shortly after the interview saying I didn't get the role. A few months after the last interview, I dug into LinkedIn to see if this role got filled and who it went to. It appears it went to the hiring manager's colleague from a previous company.
