I applied to the position in the fall, got an e-mail in January saying they closed the position for a bit but had just opened it back up and wanted to chat. I talked to one of the individuals there, during which I realized that the job posting and actual position were not similar - I stated that this was not what I expected, and they seemed receptive to making the role more alike to the posting. Got an e-mail a few days later that they closed the position again.
