I went through five rounds of interviews, and I enjoyed and learned from each team member. After I completed the last round, as a finalist I expected to hear back on if I was chosen to receive an offer. Neither the hiring manager nor the recruiter reached out to me, and they didn't respond to my attempts to find out about my status. I then saw that the hiring manager posted on his LinkedIn that he was looking for recommendations for the role through his network. This was surprising and alarming since I had just completed multiple interviews including the final interview, and I was essentially ghosted at that time. Quite a few weeks later (and a few more communication attempts on my part), I was informed by the recruiter that they decided to look for different experience for the role.
