Actually had interviews for 2 separate postings. First posting was in June, Applied to position, and within just a few days received and email setting up a testing session with a timed aptitude, and a behavioral test. After logging in and taking the test I received a screening interview with the recruiter just a couple days later. The original position had been filled but there was an alternate position being considered. After that call I had to retake the timed aptitude tests monitored though skype by the recruiter. After the monitored test I was sent an assignment to complete (api - movie database exercise listed below). Returned the assignment the following week after completing what I could. Was told that the assignment and notes from interview would be forwarded to the development manager. At that time there was no response from the recruiter, and only a more official looking system response on the position that had already been filled,
Several weeks later another position of interest was posted. Submitted my resume and cover letter to the position. two days later I had an email from a different Relias recruiter to set up a phone screen. When I mentioned on that screen that I had previously interviewed for a different position, he was not aware. He briefly explained the position, and told me he would get with the 1st recruiter and gather her notes and get back to me the following Tuesday. (that is now slightly over 3 weeks ago)
May just be my opinion but once an interview occurs, and an applicant invests effort into an assignment, the least common courtesy is a brief feedback note, even if it is to not proceed with the process.
