I was asked to prepare a presentation for the one hour long interview which was conducted via microsoft teams. After the introductions were over, I presented and then had around 45 minutes worth of questions with no real surprises in there. There were three interviewers, the hiring manager, the head of IT and a senior director.
When the interview was over, I felt positive about how I had performed. In fact there had been comments by the interviewers which suggested that they were happy with my answers. A week passed and I received an email informing me that I had not got the job, but there was no feedback on the email. This was disappointing so I followed up asking for feedback. This was a month ago and I have not received a reply. This shows a lack of consideration and in my opinion, a lack of class. To be honest the overall score on glassdoor for Regent’s, is a major put off anyway and you would have thought they would have had some awareness of this and acted in a way to avoid further negativity associated to their name. The company have not even tried to defend themselves on here and that’s not a good sign when the scores are low as they are. This score isn’t going to improve by interviewing people then ghosting them. I spent time preparing the presentation, researching the company, and obviously gave up an hour for the interview itself. I don’t feel that they owe me a job, but I do think I’m entities to expect a reply to my request for feedback and this has left a sour taste in my mouth.
