Interview left a bad taste in my mouth after we finished. Started off normal but as we kept talking I noticed interviewer would pause for at least 5-10 seconds after each question and didn't make any effort to engage in discussion. When I asked the interviewer questions, such as how many people are on the team I would be working on, they didn't know. How can they not know? Overall, the interviewer was very standoffish when I was asking questions about the company and role. It has been about 3 days since my first interview and I have yet to hear back, but I won't be proceeding with the interview process.

I was contacted for a first 30-minute interview that went well. I was told I would have a second interview with two members of the Research team. When I didn't hear from them for a few days I reached out and was told that to no fault of my own they were no longer interested in a second interview because I was "too experienced" for the role and they were moving forward with less experienced candidates. Unprofessional. An unnecessary emotional roller coaster for a position below market rate, so I believe I dodged a bullet here.
