After taking part in five separate recruitment processes with Ramp over the last two years, I can confidently say that their hiring practices are some of the most inconsistent and disorganized I’ve ever experienced.
Every interview is simple and straightforward — the difficulty isn’t the issue. The problem is that Ramp repeatedly changes the requirements during the process, ignores what they advertised, and wastes candidates’ time without any accountability.
Examples:
– In one recruitment, after completing several stages, Ramp suddenly decided they wanted only UK-based candidates. This wasn’t mentioned anywhere beforehand.
– In the most recent process, after full interviews and positive feedback, I was rejected because of a supposed “testing” requirement — something that was NEVER included in the job description and NEVER brought up in any of the interviews.
If a company doesn’t know what they want, that’s one thing. But repeatedly shifting expectations after candidates invest weeks of time is simply unprofessional and disrespectful. Ramp has shown the same pattern for years: inconsistent priorities, last-minute changes, and a lack of clarity about what they’re hiring for.
If your time and professionalism matter to you, be prepared for a frustrating experience.
