I had applied wit the company prior and was contacted by a recruiter, but unfortunately it was by email so I missed the interview. I tried again because they had another position opening up and I made the initiative to contact the location that was hiring and was informed that it goes straight through corporate (on to a recruiter). I waited the length of time that it took to make contact with the recruiter (1 week) and set up a face to face interview. I thought the interview on the phone went great, but was really disappointed at the 1 on 1 interview. I have piercings and wear them, the only time I take them off is for interviews and while I am on the clock at work. The lady kept asking me about my one lip ring and kept mentioning a background check as if I was some punk kid who hadn't had a job before or worked with the public. She never asked me where I would go with the company had an offer been extended, nor how I could benefit the company. I felt as if I was being judged completely based on my looks and not my competency which is honestly a first! I felt as if she didn't care to interview me and that she was only trying to fill a quota. I had a bad experience and may never waste my time applying for this company again. I got called back for a store walk-through (which shocked me) and I thought 'okay maybe I will get it' it's not as if ANY of the work I would be doing, I hadn't done before. I have worked at restaurants and a small convenience store before so I was completely able to do the jobs entailed. I didn't get a call back and before we left she mentioned a background check again and only looked at me!!! Seriously?!!! If a company needs a snooty little recruiter like that, I NEVER want to work there, nor shop there again. Will definitely never recommend this place for anything!
