      Entrevista para IT Audit Manager

Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 1 día. Acudí a una entrevista en RTX (Dallas, TX) en jun 2011

      Entrevista

The interview was set up for two hours with multiple people. It ended up lasting almost 4. I interviewed with the group of seniors/associates who I would be managing and that wasn't on the schedule. They were friendly and open enough and asked me some basic audit questions. Then I interviewed with a man who was in the role I was applying for as he was the second manager. That was fairly informative as I could see the schedule for travel. The job posting is 40% travel but I got the impression that this may not have been well managed/scheduled by management. For a supposedly progressive group in the audit realm, it sounded like their audit technology was lagging and that they didn't value leveraging/judging if an onsite audit was necessary or if a remote review could be performed. I got the impression they valued willingness to travel and face time highly. It also seemed that tracking travel percentage of employees wasn't a high priority so I had to wonder how well they took care of their team. All in all they were friendly but I left with a different view of Raytheon audit than I had from their IA promotion video on the career site. Though I got positive feedback from the recruiter that I was a top candidate, I didn't get the offer. It's nice to get an offer of course, but I was ok with it due to how I felt after the interview and the high travel requirement.
