SLP interview applications were collected online and through the university. My resume was handed to the recruiter by the recommendation of a professor, so I was selected for an interview. The recruiter emailed me back pretty quickly and scheduled a telephone interview for the following week or so. For the RSM SLP, they know that students don't have that much experience, so they just want to get a better idea of what the interviewee is like as a person. SLPs are unpaid but are a good way for RSM to scout and pick out good candidates early on in a student's career. Anyone with an outgoing or independent perspective in life will probably do well in terms of getting into an SLP.

I had two interviews and both were very kind and was more of a conversation rather than an interview. My first interviewer, we talked about her experience in her field and I asked questions regarding her career path and she gladly answered. She only asked me one interview question towards the end. I had my second interview with a partner and was also more like a conversation rather than an interview. He asked me questions about my resume and we went on from there. These interviews are for them to gauge your personality and they genuinely want to get to know you.
