HR -> Hiring Manager -> Committee
HR: it was pretty chill conversation describing my background, my experience, and why was I interested in the role
Hiring Manager: It was virtual interview and the moment the hiring manager started yelling thru the meeting I got un-motivated. The hiring manager didn't introduce himself, didn't give a quick overview of what he was looking for, didn't do the standard formalities (what this role is about, how this individual would fit into his group, what his group consist of, etc) that you would encounter from American corporations. The hiring manager was from China and most likely was expecting same/similar culture. Unfortunately I am not and I don't think I could work in such culture. I gave up on this role after this virtual inteview.
Committee: much better and much polite than the hiring manager but then again didn't follow american corporation formalities of first introducing, how this individual would fit into the group, what the group does, etc. The scheduling seemed to be messy as I was scheduled to this virtual meeting the day before, without asking for availabilities. And if someone was to be serious about this interview then this would give little to no time to prepare for this. Since I already gave up from the interview with the hiring manager, I decided to go along with this to get it over with.
Glad this was over and didn't have to join this role, group, and company otherwise my life would be super-miserable. Good luck for them in finding a candidate that will go along with the culture and the attitude of the hiring manager
