      Entrevista

      I applied online, probably via LinkedIn, I received an automated response for an interview with a recruiter. It was a screening. Following that conversation, I was scheduled for an interview with two individuals that I would have been working with. That interview happened roughly two weeks after my initial application. The interviews were pretty unremarkable. I was asked about my work experience, and there were no surprises. The position and the company itself didn't seem something I would have been incredibly excited for and ultimately I received notice that they were turning me down for the position. I would consider that a pretty rare occurrence these days, to actually hear something back from a company in which I'd interviewed from. It's more likely to receive automated rejections after my resume has been reviewed but prior to any interview.

      There’s a 20-minute interview screening with the Human Resources hiring manager over-the-phone. After speaking about the role, it’s a role where you are expected to be the only accessibility subject matter expert. There is no accessibility department and lack of internal mentorship and support. There was ample time for questions. 1 week email response after the screening interview.

      They asked me “How would you facilitate a training?”, “what is your rate?”, “what have been your experiences creating e-learning?”, and “how would you explain accessibility to someone that knows nothing about the topic?”.

The team is led by one of QualityLogic’s directors, and it is a critical component in our company’s success. We are augmenting our current subject matter experts and will be continuing to grow in this field.
