Entrevista
At the end of an otherwise friendly phone screening interview, the interviewer revealed that the salary range is in the mid '40s, but that they are working on increasing salaries for staff attorneys by about 10k over the next year. After I expressed (in a kind way) that this would be a difficult amount to live on in the Bay Area, even for a year, she practically hung up on me. I didn't see the need to end our interaction in such a rude way just because I bruised her ego. I would suggest that they post a salary range with the job announcement, to avoid wasting hours of staff and applicant time on a phone interview leading to nowhere. Also, someone stating honestly that he or she can't live on X amount per year is saving you and your staff from participating in a pointless in-person interview, and such honesty is a sign of respect for the work you all do, and the importance of your time. There is no need to be rude and turn it into some sort of personal affront. I have never known an interview to end on such a hostile note.

She listed 12 traits (flexibility, writing skills, etc) and had you pick 2 strengths (and explain why) and one weakness.

I did a phone screen with the hiring attorney who is the director of the program. I was then invited for an in-person meeting with an 8-person staff team. I was required to read some background law in order to play along in a client-attorney skit. They asked for my references. They did not call them nor did I ever hear back either way from them. I find this very unprofessional.
