I attended a first-stage interview with this company about a month ago. Unfortunately, the experience aligned with some of the negative reviews I had seen, although a few of those reviews seem to have been removed. During the interview, I was asked personal questions that I found inappropriate, such as enquiries about my relationship status and sexuality. They also emphasised that their work environment is "old-fashioned," with limited benefits and a very fast-paced workload. They expressed a preference for quantity over quality, which suggests either understaffing or a disregard for the quality of their work.
In the second-stage interview, the interviewers were 15 minutes late, which I found unprofessional and disrespectful. While waiting, I observed that the company experiences a high staff turnover rate. When I was finally brought into their main office, I was led to a glass room overlooking the workspace. The area was quite crowded, with around 20 people working closely together. The atmosphere was tense, and I didn’t see any signs of a positive work culture.
The second interview was uncomfortable. The interviewer seemed disinterested, didn’t offer a handshake or engage in small talk, and never smiled throughout the entire interview. I’m not sure if they were physically unable to smile or just didn’t want to—either way, it made the process feel unnecessarily tense.
After the interview concluded, I mentioned the negative reviews the company had received on Indeed and Glassdoor, which the interviewer claimed to be unaware of.
Interestingly, in the weeks following my interview, the company suddenly received several five-star reviews, including one from the 'Cleaner' and two from anonymous former employees. Given the timing and content, I suspect these reviews might have been created to improve the company’s image.
Overall, I would rate this company 1/5. It seems like more of a stepping stone than a place where employees can truly thrive, and I see little benefit to working there, as the environment seemed unwelcoming and the priorities misplaced.
