The Interview Process was the longest I've ever had in the private sector, but overall, worth the time invested. I filled out an online application on March 1st, 2016 and accepted an offer of employment on April 15th, 2016.
* 3/1 The application was filled out.
* 3/14 I was invited by email to fill out a pre-employment assessment.
* 3/15 My results were returned with an email saying to look for an email or call in the "coming days" for further steps.
* 3/17 I received the email to schedule a phone interview, with nothing available until the next week. * 3/21 Phone interview. The interview lasted a full hour with a recruiter who was pleasant and professional. She asked follow up questions to the STAR format interview questions and let me know at the end of the call that she would be recommending me to move forward. That same afternoon she sent me the forms necessary to get my background check started and I submitted them right away.
* 3/30 Another recruiter called me to schedule an in person interview at the office I would potentially be working at, and again, had nothing available until the next week.
* 4/4 In Person Interview. This interview was with the gentleman who I assumed was the office manager and also lasted an hour, almost to the minute. He described the job and its challenges and benefits very thoroughly and then asked six STAR questions while taking notes. He was also very professional and personable, showing interest in my past experiences as well as my answers. At the end of the interview, there was not much feedback except a comment that I had done well on the questions and that he would be out of town for the next few days, then would have to meet with a recruiter, so I should expect to hear back by Wednesday of the following week one way or the other.
* 4/14 A day later than expected I received a phone call and email at about 7:00pm with the offer.
* 4/15 I called and chatted with another recruiter about the offer, my questions, negotiated a different start date (the proposed start date was 5/16 and I asked to start sooner), and I accepted the offer.
