Entrevista
The job description focused on data manipulation and ETL. Then they wanted me to take a Codility exam in JavaScript (which did not seem like a key job requirement). I poitely declined the codility test but they wanted to bring in in for an interview anyhow.
I arrived in a suit. All of the lights were off in the office. The wall art was on the floor. It had a certain "zombie apocalypse" vibe. I was interviewed in a conference room. Everyone else was in cargo shorts and t-shirts. They were all white men (three in person, two more on the phone). They asked me to whiteboard in JavaScript (again, isn't this supposed to be a DATA job)?

Basically, you have a 1:1 interview in person with the CTO that lasts about an hour and then based on that, he'll decide whether he wants to bring you in for an interview with the team you'll be working with. The 1:1 interview isn't very technical and is more exploratory in nature. This is also where my salary negotiation took place. The group interview can vary depending on who's in the interview. Some people like to ask technical questions and some people prefer personality or other work-related questions.
