It was completed over Yahoo chat. No phone call, no in person. I would assume this could be due to the fact it is easier than a phone call due to the time differences. I will not lie it feels awkward but it is a UK based company so this might be standard practice. There is a 2 week training program then they will send you equipment to do your tasks. This is explained in the interview process.
