Went through interview process, told to wait for offer. Given several excuses after chasing as to why contract had not been sent yet (maternity leave, is being worked on etc). Eventually told after several weeks that the new CTO hired after my offer was extended had put a freeze on new hires for several months. Strongly suspect that they had no intention of hiring but wanted free input on what to do about their spagetti code mess.
Completely unprofessional, negotiated in bad faith and wasted a staggering amount of my time. The staggeringly poor & completely undocumented codebase is the second biggest reason not to work here, after the lack of professionalism.
