I was phoned by a recruiter for Printerpix in October 2023 who had come across my CV and said he had a marketing analyst opportunity for me. He informed me the process would be quick with just one interview conducted by him followed by an interview at the main office. The online interview went well, he was friendly and the conversational nature put me at ease. Following the interview, I decided to check Glassdoor reviews and felt subsequently appalled by what I was reading. The reviews were horrific to say the least. The recruiter came back to me within a day to say the CEO, who had watched a recording of the interview, had liked me so much, I would be offered the job straight away without a second interview. He told me this would be a great opportunity with Q4 coming up and I suddenly remembered many former employees said they were told this too and ended up being fired after Q4 was over as they were no longer needed. I expressed my reservations to the recruiter very briefly and he barely allowed me to get a word in, proceeding to rant for a good 10 minutes on the phone about how these employees probably expected to be 'spoon-fed' and the company is a healthy, positive environment. He wouldn't really let me interject with any counterpoints which in itself was a red flag to me. Up until this point, he had been very friendly. He said he would give me two days to consider the offer. I texted him after 2 days, thanking him for his time and informing him I did not believe I was the right fit for the company and would therefore be rejecting the offer. I received no response from him.
