      Entrevista

      Applied online and shortly thereafter, I exchanged a few emails. We set up a phone call interview with one of the Talent Managers from Dallas, and this lasted about 30+ minutes. Really thought it went well, and she indicated that we to go to next step, but afterwards, crickets. Sent several follow up thank you, emails, and still nothing, a few weeks go by with no emails, calls, or rejection letter; just plain nothing. I would not have expected this level of unprofessional in-action from someone at this level, and in this position. Very surprising, but in this day and age where civility takes a back seat, maybe it should not be surprising. What companies forget is that people have long memories, and when this company comes up in conversation, bad experiences are remembered and discussed far more than good experiences. It would be a far better practice for hiring managers (especially those in HR), and companies to treat candidates more like valued customers, versus a disposable commodity. If you apply, do not expect any follow up... the place is a 'black hole' that people send resumes too with no response! I think the top management should look at this and make some changes! Lastly, I got the feeling that the lady had not looked at my resume or my application prior to the phone call, when she said "Oh you worked there? I did not know that, I worked there too!" ... hmm it was right on my resume!
