      Entrevista

      I applied online and got a call first thing in the morning the next week. They didn't even want to do a phone interview and wanted to immediately bring me in. I was hesitant at first but decided to go and see what more I could learn about the company and the position. In the email it said that Angela would be the one interviewing me, however a different woman was in contact with over the phone the following week and told me it was her that I would be interviewing with. I realized very quickly after arriving at the office that this company is not all they seem to be on their website. The whole process was a lot like going to the doctor's office. You get in, fill out a form, sit in the waiting area with a few other people as other interviewees filter in and out. The man who interviewed me told me from the get go that this wouldn't be a lot like other interviews. It became very obvious that they didn't necessarily care about the quality of the interview but wanted to run through as many people as possible and get them through the door. Additionally, the way he described the role of Customer Outreach Specialist is not what the website describes nor are the kinds of duties that you would normally imagine for this position. Their marketing tactics aren't the normal television, radio, or internet but more like working promotional events and tents. He made it sound like you basically are an event planner for their biggest client, Lifeline. The whole interview took no more than 20 minutes and I was out the door. My interview went really well and I was invited back for a second round interview, however I declined. As I was leaving the office building, I ended up running into another interviewee on my way out and she had the same thoughts as me: that this company was not what they had appeared to be, the entire interview process was not something we had experienced before, and that the entire experience just felt "off". I expect that they have lots of turnover within this position and aren't able to keep people long-term, which is why they had so many people come in. This company isn't very transparent with you and I highly recommend that you don't waste your time with this company.
