I called the phone number listed on a Craigslist ad (first red flag?) and the receptionist asked me some screening questions with a hiring agency. I was brought in for an interview. At the end, I was offered the position and was told I'd be getting an offer letter...it seemed too easy. After inquiring about my required salary, I was told that jobs in this industry in this area pay much lower than other cities in which I have worked, so I should expect a lower salary. Not surprisingly, the offer letter contained an insultingly low salary with NO paid holidays, save the national holidays they are legally required to give.
