      The first round consisted of a group interview. We were placed into small groups and we were asked a series of questions by the facilitator. It was a timed activity, where we had to answer the questions within our small groups. Staff walked around and listened to responses and assessed candidates that way.

      They did a virtual group interview, split us into smaller groups/zoom rooms, and then had members of the interview committee rotate around to ask various questions. It was certainly a welcoming interview, and they model employment interviews after how they interview potential scholars, but the model does not give candidates adequate time to speak on experience. We were given a firm minute to answer each question and were cut off mid-sentence if we didn't wrap up the answers in time. It wasn't terribly difficult, but just not a model that I think allows candidates to shine equally.

      The foundation claims to be stellar on so many levels, but they lack a professional interviewing staff. They set up group intetviews: cattle calls! If you are a professional with high standards, do not waste your time interviewing with Posse Foundation. There are other respectable ways of being interview. The interview exercises show their lazy approach in seeking talent. Most respectable nonprofits will avoid having candidates with professional credentials expose themselves in the low-level interviewing approach. It is used to avoid truly finding a solid candidate. Instead, group interview seems to be used by PF for social programming:. Group think! If you are confident and can think on your own, pursue another nonprofit.
