You have to pass a test where you swim a certain length, perform rescue techniques, and answer basic questions about cpr and first aid. Very easy, just memorize the simple moves and basic stuff in the textbook they give you.

I was asked about how I would handle customer situations and a strength of mine as well as a weakness. Overall the interview was not bad at all. Very nice people who do the interviews.

Very Casual. After you are a certified lifeguard (certified by starguard) you're pretty much guaranteed to be hired. Interviewees are interviews by the District Aquatic Coordinators who are all really down to Earth.
