Easily one of the best interview experiences I have had. Mike the technical recruiter was not just very down to earth, but he was very technical as well. He was able to understand the complexity and value added from my past work and how my approach to problem solving could fit in at Policygenius. Julia the coordinator was very polite and quick to respond to scheduling needs. Due to the COVID-19 situation, the next phase of the interview was a video chat with the head of engineering. What really surprised me was how engineering is so product focused, which was a huge breath of fresh air. In addition, it was clear from the dialog that cultural fit and character were the major points of focus for the company. In the end, I withdrew my candidacy from Policygenius due to personal reasons, but I do hope to circle back in the future as it quite difficult to find another company with a similar collaborative and customer focused culture.
