The interview process was fairly standard. It began with an introductory conversation with the recruiter to assess mutual interest and alignment, followed by an interview with the hiring manager to evaluate overall fit for the role. The next stage consisted of interviews with cross-functional partners, engineering leadership, technical session, concluding with a final conversation with the CTO. If all stages are successful, the process ends with an offer.
My overall experience was mixed. While I appreciated the opportunity to meet with the team and learn more about the company, the process felt longer than it needed to be. I wouldn't consider it a waste of time, as I try to approach every interview process as a learning opportunity and a chance to refine my own interviewing skills. That said, it felt like there were concerns or reservations that could have been surfaced earlier. In hindsight, it would have been beneficial for both parties to have identified any misalignment sooner and concluded the process earlier if the fit ultimately wasn't there.
