      I didnt know 'CANDIDATE GHOSTING' was a thing in India until I applied for a job at Pocket FM almost 2 months ago. After doing their assignment and appearing for multiple interviews during this period, the company ghosted me, and neither responds to calls or texts. It's very easy to 'take a hint and move on' however this completely unprofessional attitude of the company needs to be called out. As candidates, we do everything a company asks for even on short notice of time like completing an assignment in 24 hours when we are working in a full-time job but a company holds no accountability for their work. And again it's a startup thing and we are learning is all a great escape from responsibilities. There are just 4 answers to any interview- yes, no, the infamous 'hold' and the interviews are still in progress. How long it would take for a person to convey this message? I'm not upset over the process. I am only and only upset over the fact that there is no communication from their end and I know I am not the only one who went through this. My friend who applied for a creative director with me and a concept artist around the same time is also going through this ghosting. I don't understand the motivation behind this. Either to have a pool of candidates handy, or they are not getting a candidate (with 1k+ applications it seems unlikely), lack of planning or to be on LinkedIn's top startup list. Again, the process, the rejection, the time doesn't bother me but the lack of communication does. It's unprofessional and utterly disrespectful toward the candidates. People hiring do forget that they are also on the other side of the table when looking out for a job. Just because someone is applying to work with your company doesnt give anyone the right to treat them like trash. Everyone has self respect and should be treated well. If you cant provide the basic then there is no point of being called 'one of the top startups'. Anyway, I am NEVER applying at Pocket FM ever.

      A BLATANT MOCKERY on the name of hiring. Beware, this company doesn't want to hire you. Instead, they are just fishing for free ideas and then putting the candidates on hold or ghosting them. After a series of interviews and assignments, they have nothing better to tell you so they put your candidacy on hold. They did it with me and clearly with all the comments and reviews here, they have been doing it with many. With so many interviews and each stretching for nearly an hour, they want to get good ideas from you. I have been seeing this company for the past few months, and they have been reposting the same jobs over and over again without one successful hire they show every week. Whether it be Creative Director, Creative Lead, Brand Lead- US, Writer Adaptation/Editor you can go on their Linkedin page now and see them still hiring for it. Don't waste your time and energy by applying for a job here. No one gets hired here except for a few jobs like in house writer and promo producer. Such companies are just mocking the candidates applying for the job and should be held accountable for it. Also they don't have any plans and trying to lure people on the name of US expansion.
