A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn and we set up a call, only for me to realize beforehand that the position wasn't really what I was looking for (Data Engineer). I was open about that and the recruiting team immediately responded with some other options, one of which was exactly what I was looking for (Backend Software Engineer). I had an initial screen with a recruiter which was far more in-depth than what I was expecting - it was essentially a behavioral interview with a few additional, fairly technical questions about how I handled certain scenarios. I moved on to the technical screen which was also not quite what I expected based on interviews elsewhere. I interviewed with a development manager who went over my technical experience and gave me a very simple coding question (implement a single method) before opening it up for me to ask him about the position and company. I was in the process of scheduling my on-site interview (four 45 minute interviews, 3 hours total) when I pulled my application. The only reason I withdrew was that they were unable to meet my compensation requirements and I received an offer from somewhere that could (and was a good fit otherwise as well). Everyone I spoke with was extraordinarily kind, the recruiting team was impressively responsive, and it really does seem like a great place to work.
