Online job application submission, followed by HR screening and then 3 x phone interviews. This phase of the process took 5-6 weeks to complete. I did not hear any feedback either way for the next several weeks so assumed my application was unsuccessful, but out of the blue I was requested to attend a full day of interviews (7 x 1 hour). I was then advised several days later that my application was unsuccessful via email. No feedback was provided, despite the positive impression my interviewers gave me. If it was simply a case of losing out to a better candidate, so be it. As someone with extensive experience on both sides of the recruitment process, this one was ridiculously long for a fairly rudimentary recruiting effort. There was also distinct lack of transparency from a candidates perspective . People were friendly and relatively professional, but I could easily see their recruitment process resulting in losing quality candidates.
