Received an initial email requesting a phone screen. Completed that step and was told that my resume would be passed onto the hiring manager. The hiring manager was leaving for vacation so I didn't expect any follow up for a week or so. Just before 2 weeks had passed I email the recruiter I initially spoke to checking in regarding next steps. I was told the hiring manager was still away but returning in a few days. The next say I get an automated email saying that my qualifications don't meet the requirements for the job. If I didn't meet the requirements of the job why was I even contacted? Poor candidate experience!
