Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 6 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en PitchBook (Seattle, WA) en feb 2016
Entrevista
The interview process in total took over a month. There was an initial phone interview with the recruiter then, eventually, an onsite interview.
The phone interview was pretty straight forward asking about my background and why I wanted to work at PitchBook and the question about "What do you know about PE and VC?"
The onsite interview was pretty straight forward as well; it was mainly a conversation and not really grilling questions. I met with 2 managers of the Customer Success Management team and then the director. The managers were very casual and the director was a bit more short and direct.
Following the onsite interview I was sent a personality test via Caliper to take.
Overall, the steps of the process were average but the recruiter was EXTREMELY slow to get back to me and INCREDIBLY non-responsive.
In the end I was offered the job but the salary was, as another review put it, laughable. I told them that we were pretty far off and asked that they see about coming back with another offer. They agreed to entertain the idea and I got a call back pretty quickly indicating that they weren't going to budge. For a startup in a competitive city like Seattle with plenty of revenue and funding, these guys are seemingly taking advantage of people at the wages they're offering. They continually stick by the "growth within the company" pitch but it still doesn't justify such a low offering wage. That also tells me that I would have to do A LOT of growing to get a competitive salary.

It was an organized, communicative process. The team reached out first via LinkedIn message, then we switched to communicating over email. Phone interview w/Recruiter was super professional and clear. Then hiring manager zoom interview was great for learning more on the role, trying to determine if I'd be a good fit. The last round with multiple managers was efficient, fair, and it felt like the team asked questions that perttain well to their day to day and what their employees face. Overall, it was a great process and it moved along really efficiently which I appreciated.

They asked for an example of a time where maybe someone on my team dropped the ball for a client, and how I handled the situation.
Typical behavioral interview questions that they are looking STAR method answers for. Make sure that you really drive home the impact that YOU created in the situation and how that ties back to the overall value for the client.

Super professional communication from recruiter to hiring manager. The PitchBook team made the process very clear. The questions asked were fair and seemed to tie quite clearly to the functions of the job I was interviewing for. Overall, the interview process was positive.
