I was a contract employee brought in to fill a second-tier help desk role that evolved into being hired on full time in the very same position. The interview was conducted by the peers I have worked for a the time including the IT Director, Infrastructure Director, and two of my colleges. Due to the unique circumstances leading to my employment, the interview process was fairly casual followed by the usual documentation and meetings with HR.
