Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 2 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en PhysicsX (Londres, Inglaterra) en may 2025
Entrevista
The interview process was well-structured and consisted of five stages:
1. Introductory chat with HR – alignment on motivation, timeline, and company mission
2. Coding assessment – three problems on Coderbyte
3. Role fit interview – technical discussion to identify the best fit across delivery, product, or research teams
4. Technical assessment – task simulating a typical engineering use case
5. On-stage assessment – presentation of a technical project
The entire process took approximately two months.
Preguntas de entrevista [1]
Pregunta 1
Motivational questions about why I was interested in PhysicsX, technical questions on my research publications (e.g. "Why do you think uncertainty prediction is important in Gaussian Processes, and how is it estimated?"), and general questions on data preprocessing.
Initial HR screening, fairly quick. Coderbyte online assessment, 3 leet-code style questions, there was a question involving converting flat vertex data into required mesh format which seemed quite relevant. 3rd stage was a technical interview, spoke with another MLE about past work briefly. Finally there was a live coding interview, thats where it ended for me.

Pregunta 1
Mesh dataset for live coding, identify elements, and find the bounding box.
Initial screening interview with a recruiter; completed an online coding assessment; introduction call with an MLE where they asked more about my past experience and expectations for a role with PhysicsX; technical interview; final round where I presented about a previous piece of work and was asked STAR-type questions (Tell me about a time when...). Lots of opportunities to ask questions throughout, and I got to meet many of the MLEs throughout the process. I found it enjoyable and engaging process!

I appreciated the depth to which various interviewers wanted to understand what I was looking to get out of a role with PhysicsX, and ensure that we were a good fit for each other.
