I applied online and received a call about a week later to schedule an interview. My interview was with one of the two store managers during business hours. The interviewer spent some time telling me about the company and about the job. She kept the interview short, asking some of the standard questions that usually come on interviews such as why I wanted the job, how long I intended to work there, and about my prior experience in retail. She also had me roleplay with her using a scenario of an upset customer. She did give me the opportunity to request a wage, although I was told that they actually had a set amount that the corporate office allows them to start employees at. Because the interview was during business hours and the manager was needed for several things during the process, I had to be flexible in pausing and picking back up again for interruptions.
Short and to the point in terms of how you handle situations and customers. Offer guidance in what they are looking for. Prior experience is not necessary but will always help.
It was a pretty retail interview experience. They talked about what working with pets and animals would be like and how to handle that, and also just things about retail in general.

Nice friendly 3 interviews asked normal questions chatted a bit just waiting on a call back. Friendly staff and communication is important to them which I am glad about.
Went in for my first interview with one person then second with another and waiting on my third.
