After initially applying for the role using Personio's system (via a LinkedIn listing), I was invited for a screening call with a member of the Personio talent team. After this, I had an hour-long technical interview with an engineering manager. Refreshingly, this was neither competency-based nor a live coding test - it was simply an in-depth discussion of my skills and previous experiences. The following round would have been a take-home test followed by a further interview to review the resulting work, but at this point I withdrew from the process having accepted another offer. However, I was extremely impressed by the Personio people I engaged with during the process - these interviews can be very stressful, but in this case they were genuinely enjoyable due to the friendly and supportive attitudes of the interviewers. Would highly recommend interested engineers to apply, and can see myself doing so again further down the line of my career.

The interview process was smooth and nice. Since the beginning of the process recruiter was kind and very professional. Her help was invaluable - the person provided all the guidance, recommendations, and organization was on a very high level. The interviewers were also great people, with kind and polite conversations. The challenges there were interesting to solve.
