The first interview was an informal informational interview with the director, where we got to know each other and talked about the job. The second interview was with the Director of Engineering where I was asked to prepare in advanced a tutorial or demo using personas. The third interview was with an engineer, where I was asked to perform a task on Permanent and prepare a list of questions and possible improvements. The final part of the interview process was joining a weekly team meeting.

First stage was a phone screening with the Executive Director. The second round interview was with both the Executive Director and Director of Engineering and required preparing a brief demo based on an ICP. During the second interview, I was tasked with analyzing some member activity data. Third round I was assigned a small task that required creating a permanent.org account. While performing the task I was asked to reflect on how the process could be improved or questions that arose and share this with a member of the engineering team. After the third round, the final candidate was to meet with the entire team. Interviewers stressed that the tasks should take no more than an hour for each assignment.
