2 HR Screenings, 1 Manager Call, 1 Director Call and 1 Panel Interview that lasted 5 hours. After all of this they called and told me that they need to do one more panel interview as it was extremely close between me and another candidate, I was fed up by this point but decided to go on with it anyway. It felt like a waste of my time as the panel and the questions asked were exactly the same as before. This time the engineers weirdly emphasized on how they don't use a lot of technology and how the job is mundane - couldn't have any more red flags honestly. Then they gave me an offer - total compensation 20k below the expected base salary that was discussed. I refused on the spot. Waste of time, the entire process felt directionless.
